Madonna’s nanny quits

Madonna

Madonna’s plan to adopt a little brother or sister for David Banda has been thrown into turmoil by her nanny Angela Jacobsen’s shock decision to quit. What’s more, it seems the Queen of Pop was so incensed by her employee’s announcement, she sent her packing even before she’d even worked her notice period.

“Angela is distraught. Madonna told her the news two hours before she was due to go on her annual month-long leave,” said an insider close to the Australian nanny. “[She] was incredibly upset and very surprised because she had been told that Madonna is due to adopt a second baby from Malawi very soon.”

Sources say Angela handed Madge her resignation at the beginning of the month and was set to stay on to work her notice. But things didn’t quite pan out as expected when her employer flashed that famous temper of hers. “The rumour is that Madonna was furious that Angela was leaving and dismissed her before she had the chance to complete her full notice,” the source suggested.

Details of why Angelina decided to up sticks in the first place remain sketchy, though one assumes it could’ve been the anticipation of a new addition to the Ciccone brood doubling her workload. Indeed, it does sound like a bit of a job from hell to us. “All Madonna’s employees work incredibly long hours, so it’s no surprise that Angela had had enough,” said the source.

“If you work for Madonna you are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There’s no such thing as a weekend.” Hmmm… any takers?
